Don’t wait till you have another night like last night…or the night before…or the night before.

It’s not easy to find a good sleep coach. But now you have.

Pauline Vaughan M.A.(Psych.)

I have a Masters degree in clinical psychology. After five years post-graduate training in psychotherapy skills at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, I worked for many years in private practice as a psychotherapist. I also trained in Primal Alexander Technique with master Mio Morales.I decided to become a sleep coach after my own struggles with insomnia, that started in 2008. My experience and training have taught me a lot about what helps and doesn’t help overcome insomnia.

I developed insomnia in 2008 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I’ve never felt more scar4ed in my life, and when my doctor handed me a prescription for sleeping pills I assumed it meant I couldn’t sleep. And of course I didn’t, for a very long time. After treatment ended, I did a lot of doom scrolling and read that insomnia could cause a recurrence of cancer, or other diseases. The list was long and scary, and the pressure to sleep increased. So did the insomnia. It took a long time to to get back to normal sleep, but I did. I discovered what a burden insomnia was, and how freeing it is to move beyond it. I thought I had a disability, and thought there was nothing I cold do about it. I was delighted to discover I was wrong.

After overcoming my struggles with insomnia through working with sleep physician Dr. Daniel Erichsen, I decided to train with Dr. Erichsen as a sleep coach. After studying, and Dr. Erichsen’s excellent mentorship, I became certified as a sleep coach,. I’m excited to start working with you to help you overcome the burden of Insomnia.
